The organisers of the FIG World Trampoline Gymnastics Championships 2023 proudly partnered with United by 2022 to ensure a true Birmingham welcome was received be all athletes and spectators attending the international sporting event.
Over 1,000 gymnasts from over 40 countries competed across eight days of thrilling competition, at what was a primary qualification event for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The partnership built on the legacy of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and continues to bring people together, supporting initiatives to improve health and wellbeing and acting as a catalyst for positive impact across the city.
Commenting on the partnership Dominic Elsom, Championship Director said; “I cannot thank United by 2022 enough for helping us deliver THE BEST ever FIG World Trampoline Championships. Birmingham 2022 created a network of experienced volunteers who continue to ensure the city delivers world class sporting events. To be able to recruit some of our workforce from this experienced pool of people was invaluable. And not forgetting Perry the Bull who delighted all ages with his huge personality and crazy antics. United by 2022 helped us show Birmingham at its best!”.
